On this day back in 2008, David Archuleta performed for the first time on a tour. He sang in Glendale, Arizona at the jobing.com Arena for the opening of the season seven “American Idols LIVE!” Tour.
His four songs were “Angels,” “Apologize,” “Stand By Me,” and “When You Say You Love Me.” The tour ran through September 13.
Let’s take a look at a couple of his performances from that memorable night.
These videos show how much stronger David is vocally from two years ago. The version of “Angels” that made the debut album is better. His performance of “Apologize” improved too, and he now accompanies himself on the keyboard with that song.
All of this and more in only two years…
So I realized that most people who currently subscribe to me are from David Archuleta’s fan base, and that it’s not fair of me to not do more covers of his.
So here’s “Somebody Out There”, a classic of our times. Enjoy!

This song is titled ‘No More’

Caption under video: I am Dustin Montpellier. I wrote this song about two years ago. I just finished it today and I think it is perfect for David Archuleta’s next album. Tell me what you guys think, okay?
Thanks!

BYU Daily News at Noon showcases David Archuleta’s “Chords of Strength” book signing in Orem. We’ll have to forgive them saying that the book came out on May 4 since the release date was June 1. However, we do love all things Archuleta. They’re right about that.
“American Idol” contestants always seem so supportive of each other. That must be because they have shared the experience of the show and can relate. During his book signing on Saturday, David mentioned to the crowd that Kris had a concert that night in Minneapolis. David encouraged people to go and see him. One good [...]

One thing that makes a “Chords of Strength” book signing by David Archuleta even better is when he sings! Here he is this afternoon singing “I’ll Be.” Be forewarned that you should not turn up the volume too loud because there is a lot of high-pitched screaming from the crowd! In addition to the other interviews this morning, David Archuleta was also on “My Fox Twin Cities,” which is on Fox 9 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
