David Archuleta: Pigskin Pro-Am Performer

David Archuleta watches and waits for a cue as he gets set to perform at the EA Sports Madden NFL 11 Pigskin Pro-Am in Malibu, Calif., on Thursday afternoon (July 22).

In case you missed it, the 19-year-old singer will be dropping his new album, Other Side of Down, on September 14th.

David shared in a press release, “I’m really looking forward to releasing this album. Most of the songs on the album represent thoughts and experiences that I’ve personally gone through. I hope this album helps people understand more of where I’m coming from as an artist and as a person. It’s about moving forward in life, making progress in accomplishing your goals and dreams while appreciating what life has given you.”

Event Description:

We are looking for 1200 fans to be a part of this event!

800 LUCKY FANS WILL BE GIVEN A COUPON TO REDEEM A FREE COPY OF THE MADDEN 11 NFL GAME UPON EXITING THE EVENT! That’s right, a FREE game just for being part of this special event!

The NFL and EA have teamed up to create a unique and exciting program to celebrate EA’s release of NFL Madden 11. The Event will feature 2 teams of 10 participants playing a modified flag football game on a special field in Malibu, CA. Each team will consist of 4 NFL alumni and 4 celebrities, and 2 current NFL players as coaches. For each participant on the winning team, the NFL will donate Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) to the charity of their choice.

The Event will run similar to a typical NFL game with a pregame, 4 quarters and a halftime show. There will be unique twists to the game with special scoring opportunities. The event will be taped and air on NBC and NFL network in mid-August.

Jesse McCartney sang the national anthem last year. They televised him singing it. So hopefully that means we’ll get to see David singing it on TV too!!

Ok been wandering aimlessly around washington dc for a couple hours..the family actually got up early this morning what the heckkkk??..so anyways strollin’ around the city, get lost a lil, get help from a local lady whos out joggng..thanks mam!, so we decide to try to make our way toawrds th capital to kinda stake out the best place to be when the actual rehersal comes along today..dad and little bro wimp out on us and go to the pool..their loss;)..so me mom and little sister sittin on the ledge by the stairs taking pics of the stage twittering and whatnot, and we hear the announcer guy say k lets start it from the top..jimmy pick up here..so mr. jimmys talkin bout everythig then we get a feel that hes gonna mention our man so of course i gotta start videoing..soo orchestra blah blah blah nationa capital blah blah blah then BaBAMMM!! “David Archuleta” we cheer and stuff at his name not expecting to see him till tonights rehersal cause standins were being used thus far…but then we see legs…omg.,..look at those legs ..those ARE NOT just any legs..and let the pandemonium begin….*more to come..much better video of the second time he sang ..BEAUTIFUL!*
