Season 9 of “American Idol” is off and running, so goes another five months of couch potato-ness. However, the moment host Ryan Seacrest uttered those words… “This is ‘American Idol’” all signs of AIW seemed to evaporate.

Idol’s relevance to pop culture continued its dominance after Kris Allen was named winner of Season 8 in May.

The Teen Choice Award nominations were announced and David Archuleta (S7) racked up the most, including Breakout Artist of the Year.

Archuleta (S7) took home 3 Teen Choice Awards including Breakout Artist, Favorite Love Song for “Crush,” and Favorite Music Tour.

Archuleta (S7) performed with The Black Eyed Peas, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez at the Alma Awards. He was also nominated for the Year In Music Rising Male Star Award.

Archuleta (S7) released, “Christmas From The Heart,” in October as Blake Lewis (S6) released his sophomore album, “Heartbreak On Vinyl.”

The year closed with eight “Idol” alums having scored among the year’s top singles on Billboard’s year-end charts – Clarkson, Underwood, Cook, Daughtry, Archuleta, Hudson, Pickler, and Sparks.

Billboard decade-end charts featured Clarkson, Underwood, Daughtry, Aiken (S2), Yamin, Sparks, Archuleta, Studdard, Hicks, Cook, Hudson, Fantasia, Kimberly Locke (S2), Josh Gracin (S2), and Mandisa.

“Last year I remember voting on TCA with multiple fake email IDs … another fellow angel mentioned it in an email that the site does not validate the email IDs. So I tried it last year and sure enough I could make up email IDs one after another like jane@hotmail.com and I was able to vote a lot lot more in a day. So I tried it again this year and sure enough it still worked for me that way.

I made up emails that made sense to me so I could easily log in and log out with the different email IDs. I used my nicknames, my family and relatives names… even my pet’s names. Of course you have to register the email IDs first, then you can vote vote vote more more more everyday!! It’s not a lot to do after you get into a certain groove, you know.

Here’s what I do to try and get the most out of voting … First I save the page that has David’s nominations (I believe it’s the 3rd page) as a link at the top of my internet browser. So when I go to vote each day, I just click on the link. Then the sign in page comes up … after I sign in, voila! … David’s nomination page comes up … no more slowly paging thru the screens to get to David’s page … I scroll down the page to click on David’s nominations and then click vote vote vote!! … Then I go to the top of the page to click on log out. Once I’m logged out, I can click on the link again and when the log in screen comes up, I log into another email ID … then David’s page comes up again and I vote vote vote … then I go back up to click on log out again … and do it all over again.”

As I’m sure you know, the Jonas Brothers put a call out to their fans asking for
votes on their MySpace page, and now have the TCA link at the bottom of all of their
blogs.

David doesn’t promote himself that way, so it’s URGENT for all of David’s fans to keep voting HARD until the August 1st deadline. We can do this, but we need everyone’s help.
