…….Are we there yet?  Are we there yet?  Are we there yet?……

And, as much as I am a kid at heart and have youthful thoughts and ambitions (I mean, really, I look in the mirror and say who is THAT lady…because in my mind, I’m still 18), when I act my age *cough, cough* I must admit life has taught me it’s all about the moment, the present, the small stuff, the baby steps.

For enjoying, savoring, experiencing to the fullest each of those ‘mini-experiences’ is what this whole dang Fan Journey thingy boils down to.

So will Something ‘Bout Love or The Other Side of Down be that “there yet” for David’s career? Hard to say and I have no talent in foretelling the future.   But frankly, I hope not.  I hope it’s one peak of many peaks to come.

However, I don’t have much angst about David’s future either.  It is what it is and it will be as it will be.  And that young man has it all going for him.   I do believe the limiting factor in all this, is simply what David wants for himself.

However, in this moment, that BubbleTweet from Eman of a snippet of a song on the upcoming album is SWEEEEEEET complete with MP3 HERE.

And the tweets, videos, anecdotal vignettes from concert goers from last night for the Christmas show with Orla Fallon, well that’s for sure the soul candy of the moment.

In fact, I don’t think we want to be ‘there yet,’ do we?  So, the next stop on this David Fan journey is just fine with me, be it a hill or a valley.   If it’s a hill, I savor with all senses set to open throttle.  If it’s a valley, I’ll learn from the landscape what needs to be learned, recalibrate my outlook with each new dip, twist and turn, and move on.

Disappointment is not a fatal disease.  It is a waste of time though to spend to much time in the Land of Disillusionment.

Is it possible to implode from too many episodes of happiness!?!…….Well, if so, what a way to go, eh?

David Archuleta sings at the Arthur Ashe Kids Day: ‘American Idol’ contestant sounds awesome

David Archuleta sang at the Arthur Ashe Kids Day in Flushing New York on Saturday. The event brought in kids from all over the community and gave Archuleta a chance to showcase new music from his upcoming album. The fans were delighted in hearing the new tunes and the new style.

If you think you have heard David Archuleta sing it all before, you need to hear how he sings at this performance at the Arthur Ashe Kids Day. He has got a strong new sound that is nothing like his previous performances on ‘American Idol’ and he definitely is far more confident than he has ever been – you can just see this on his set.

We definitely will be seeing more of David Archuleta when his new CD is released until next month.

EXCLUSIVE: David Archuleta Doesn’t Watch ‘Jersey Shore’, Says New Album Is Finished

David Archuleta admitted on “The Ralphie Radio Show” that he doesn’t watch MTV’s hit reality show “Jersey Shore” – matter of fact – he even needed a synopsis.

“What is it about, exactly?” Archuleta innocently asked – completely unaware of stars like “DJ Pauly D” or “The Situation.” Fear not though, as David had heard of Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi before.

“I was at ‘Good Day New York’ and everyone signs a wall and there was one that said ‘Snooki’ and I’m like, ‘Oh, who’s ‘Snoo-key’?’” he recalled. Archie later mentioned that he heard of the show before, but didn’t really know much else about the show or its cast.

The Idol-alum also said he’d be more intimated singing in front of Simon Cowell than Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, who is rumored to be a judge on the upcoming season of “American Idol.”

Thankfully for Archuelta fans, the singer knows this much: his sophomore LP, The Other Side of Down, is finished, and will be released October 5.

“I definitely had a lot more say (in the creative process of the album)… I just wanted this album to be me,” said Archuleta. “The theme of this album is ‘introducing David Archuleta’ to everyone.”

The process in opening up and speaking more about himself began with the writing of his memoir, Chords of Strength.

“At first, I was like, ‘Why the heck should I be writing a book? I’m only 19 years old,’” he said. “I can’t help but be myself. So, I wanted to do the same with my music.”

Archuleta said the new album is currently in the mastering process – and revealed that there is also a title track to the LP – one of his favorite’s on the piece, thus the name.

This beautiful photo is by Larissa (@Larissa_SG). It’s one of my favorites ever taken of David because the eyes just draw me in. I made this whole page to try to highlight those amazing eyes and I hope that it works for you. By the way, it’s harder to see now because of the light paper in between, but the background paper is exactly the color of David’s eyes in the photo. I love how his eyes change color!
