StarsUnite for Charity applauds and celebrates celebrities that bring awareness and donations to charities they support.

We are excited to announce our award program:

Each month four stars will be showcased as the “star of the week” and at the end of that month we will allow our members to vote on which star they believe has been the most generous and has brought the most attention and donations to their charity picks.

The four nominees for July 2010 listed in alphabetical order:

David Archuleta
Lee DeWyze
Claude Giroux
Siobhan Magnus

StarsUnite for Charity will award each month winner a wonderful ‘crystal star’ award shown above and at the end of the year each of the monthly winners will be in the running to win our annual “Shines Bright Award.” The annual “Shines Bright Award” will be showcased soon, as we are still working with the company designing it.

The winner will be determined by 50 percent votes on the monthly poll/vote and 50 percent of auction revenues (1 point per vote/1 point per dollar of final bid).

You can help your favorite by voting and by bidding and increasing the amount of their charity auctions held at www.starsuniteforcharity.com.

Each Star must also have at least one charity auction listed during the nomination month. If they don’t win for a specific month they may be nominated again, however each star is only allowed to win ‘one’ time in a 12 month period.

Extra is asking who Oprah Winfrey should have on her talk show for the last guest. My first thought was David Archuleta, he deserves to be on The Oprah Show. David is a very talented, down to earth, humble person. So many words can describe him. He has writen and published his own book, had hit songs, gone on tours, won StarSearch, and was the runner-up on American Idol all before his 19th birthday. So please put David Archuleta on the Oprah show, he deserves it.
