Hi FanScene Readers!!
I’m looking forward to “BEGIN.” with great excitement, of course…but, in the meantime, I’ve played my “Forevermore” CD over and over again and I seem to have developed a special affinity for the song “Hold On” … (I even have a possible plan for the song and next years’ Kiwanis Charity Karaoke Night, but, that story is for a future post lol)…After having listened to “Hold On”, well, frequently lol, I decided to rewrite the words (lyrics) as a sort of letter to David and here’s the end result:
Stay Strong
Hey, David…so what’s been going down…
We sure have missed you since you’ve been gone…
It’s getting harder to get through each day -
We’re hoping that you’re alright and for this we pray…
We sure do long to see you again…
It seems like just yesterday we saw you and then…
You were off to a land far away -
But, it doesn’t matter ’cause we’re your fans here to stay…
Devoted and true…
We’ll always love you and the music you make
No matter how far, wherever you are
Your fans we’ll remain…
Stay strong, David, stay strong…
As time passes on – we’ll still all be one
And, as your life goes on now – you’ve got to stay strong…

So, David, we hope that you’ll always know…

So glad that you liked this!! I just kept hearing “Hold On” over and over again in my head (I just love the song) and I found myself singing it around my apartment, in the car, in the elevator at work (I was alone lol) and even as I shopped at the mall (that must have been interesting for passersby lol)…so, about a week ago, I grabbed a piece of paper and started writing and “Stay Strong” was the end result!! I think that it expresses what we all feel and hope for and it really came straight from my heart!! David inspires me – that’s for sure!!

Thank you for your kind words…where David is concerned – something always seems to pop into my head and “Hold On” and I seemed to form a “bond” and it just went from there!!
