The American Idol Tour in the summer of 2008 visited 49 cities, performed 53 concerts and sold 482,870 tickets.
The screaming started with the first announcement of his name and continued throughout his four song set. Poised and polished he dominated the stage with his power ballad, “When You Say You Love Me.”

Rosanne Simunovic’s Recollections
When I first heard David’s performance of “When You Say You Love Me”, my first impression was this: “If ever there was a perfect vehicle for this song, it is through David’s passionate and heartfelt vocal delivery”.
For, with David, this was more than just a beautiful song. It was a personal and loving message to his fans, his family members, friends and, of course, to the Lord above for giving him a musical gift that would continue to move and inspire listeners of all ages.
Although originally recorded by the talented Josh Groban, David’s version is more personal, more meaningful and, certainly very genuine and transparently expressive. We gain a glimpse into David’s loving soul – the depth and beauty of its essence…

After we made 15-year old Jyanmar Beltran’s wish come true by helping her meet her ultimate idol, Julie Anne San Jose, by bringing her to the set of the singer’s newest music video (check out the article HERE), we thought it would be cool to ask Julie if she’s ever hadher own “starstruck moment,” and this is what she answered:
“When I was the front act at David Archuleta’s concert last year. Before the show, sya talaga ang pumunta sa dressing room to wish me luck. It was really inspiring to have it come from a Hollywood singer! He was very humble. It was really a big deal for me. During the concert, I fell onstage but I tried my best to keep my composure. After my performance, Archie congratulated me. He said he didn’t notice that I fell. He thought it was part of my performance! Hahaha! I think that would be one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had with one of my idols.”

Thank you for putting the pictures and videos of the book signing. I have read his book. I really enjoyed read it. I also learned something from his book that sometimes you have to stand up for yourself and not let people take advange of you. I would recomend this book to anyone.

Reading your story made me think of this great flash card video a teen did about not giving up….it will make you cry but it’s the good kind of cry:) He used a Christian Music song called Don’t Give Up by Christian Rock band Calling Glory as the musical back drop to the video…and I have to say it fits nicely.
