J-14 Video: David Archuleta “I’ll Never Go”

‘American Idol’ alum David Archuleta is currently away on his two-year mission in South America, but before he took off, he left us with plenty of new music — including a brand new music video for his emotional ballad “I’ll Never Go.”

The song is from David’s album ‘Forevermore’ that was released in the Philippines — and the video shows him saying goodbye in a room with a keyboard and recording equipment in the corner.

Through the dramatic verses, David packs his shoes and shirt into his rollaboard suitcase and finally walks out the door, symbolizing him stepping away from his fans for a while. But he reassures everyone, “I’ll never go far away from you.”

David also has a new album, ‘BEGIN.’, coming out August 7, featuring a mix of covers like “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “True Colors” — as well as a new original song written by David.

and embrace our silent dreams.
They help us become aware
of the delicate winds of hope…
and we discover within every human spirit
there are wings yearning to fly.
They help our hearts to see that
the only stairway to the stars

and we find ourselves
unafraid to reach high.
They celebrate the true essence
of who we are…
and have faith in all
that we may become.
Some people awaken us
to new and deeper realizations…
for we gain insight
from the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Throughout our lives we are sent
precious souls…
meant to share our journey
however brief or lasting their stay
they remind us why we are here.
To learn…to teach…to nurture…to love.
Some people come into our lives
to cast a steady light
upon our path and guide our every step

Last but not least, Deseret Book almost gets it right! They just have one more period and all will be good. Fans gave DB the heads-up on the correct formation of BEGIN. and the proper title of “Pride (In the Name of Love)” and they happily and quickly almost fixed the problem. We were assured last night that that the web person would be made aware and hopefully tomorrow we can post the final and perfect edit.
