With the hot weather here, there is nothing like a refreshing smoothie and its easy to make them and keep them healthy. My kids love to help too!

Here are a few recipes that I found:

Frozen-Blueberry-Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup 1% milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2-3 ice cubes (optional)

Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth or to desired consistency then serve in glasses.

  • Total Carbohydrates: 59.8g
  • Fiber: 1.8g
  • Sugars: 56.7g
  • Protein: 11.8g

Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 3/4 cup strawberry nectar
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 scoop of raspberry sherbet
  • 1scoop of fat-free vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup of ice

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blend and blend until smooth. Drink and enjoy this 24 ounce delicious smoothie.
