Thank you Janey for posting this, I was feeling like time was standing still and 2014 was such a long time away. This video brought me back to reality. It is all about David and what is important in his life right now.He left us with beautiful music and each other .I need to watch ITS NOT GOODBYE more often.
Pat, regarding the passage of time (or not, as the perception might be) I find it’s best to not focus on it at all; not counting the days he’s been gone, not counting the days before he returns, not putting markers on charts, not crossing off days on calendars. etc. I have no idea if you’re doing that or not, but one mission mom told me she did the calendar thing with her first son and she didn’t with her second. In her opinion, the time went much faster not making note of it at all.
Try to stay in the moment, and avoid those other things. It’s really hard when people have numbers and clocks on their sites and when folks tweet the days. Even if you avoid those people and places, there is always someone who RT’s them (grrrrr…) lol.
The upside is that I’m spending less time on twitter and I’m completely avoiding sites that are doing that, allowing more time to focus and discover other things.
The only time I ever did that sort of thing was when I was counting the days until I turned 21. Looking back, I have no idea why that was so important, lol.
If you change from counting to not counting, let me know if that works better for you. I’ve seen comments on other sites from fans saying they are having a difficult time with the same thing, as well. As a result, they are avoiding sites and twitter too.
