FanScene’s Inspiring Tuesdays!!

Every Tuesday, I will be doing a post that reflects on some of the inspiring quotes that David has tweeted over the last 3 years. This week we will look at:

“There is no love without sacrifice”

David tweeted this quote on Dec 23rd, 2010.  I googled the quote and didn’t find a definite source. However, many commented on the quote being in the movie “Avatar-The Airbender Movie” which premiered in July 2010 so this may be where David heard it.

Wherever it came from, this quote is very true.  Think of all the people in our lives that we hold so close to us. Of course, your spouse is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of sacrifice.  From the very first day of your marriage, its no longer “all about you” Every decision you make affects not one but two people. My husband and I have completely different interest but we respect each other’s hobbies and support each other always.  My husband is an avid hiker and i have joined him on some, overcoming my extreme fear of bugs!!

The second love that comes to mind with EVERYDAY sacrifices is our love for our children. I have 4 children, all at different stages in their lives and spend many nights consoling one after a rough day at school, driving my daughters to many hours of gymnastics practice, going to many doctors appointments, and giving them unconditional love even when my pre-teen daughter gives me her attitude!!

So, I ask everyone…who is special in your life? What are the sacrifices that you have made for that special person??

I know at the end of the day..when I am tucking my kids in bed and my little boy wraps his arms around me and says “I love you Mommy!”…or when my husband, who has a dangerous job as a police officer, comes home safe and sound after a 12 hour shift and asks “How was your day?”…
