You know all about us from our recaps, posts, and daily musings. Now it’s your turn! Answer the 5 questions below. Even if you’ve done this before, give us an update, check in, it’s been awhile since we’ve connected:

1). We have a lot of international readers, where do you live? You can name the country or be more specific, it’s up to you!

2). On a scale of 1-10, how excited are you for Christmas tour? Even if you don’t live in the USA, are you looking forward to videos?

3). Has David inspired you in some way? Have you found yourself to be more generous? Helpful to others? More charitable?

4). Have you discovered new music through David? Has he brought a new artist to your attention? Is there a song from that artist you really like? Be detailed if you can.

5). Favorite David song? What have been your faves over time?

Here are my answers…

1). USA, Cali.
2). 11
3). Yes, I think so. Maybe not so much in a specific way, although I do help out with David’s known charities like StandUp2Cancer, but I find myself saying, “how can I help?” more often now than before.
4). Benton Paul. Thinking back to CFTH tour, I kinda hope he joins David again. I really, reallyyy like him. Love his song, Paris.
5). Los Pastores a Belen, of course, and Silent Night. Technically, they are not David songs, but we all know that once David covers a song, he owns it, right guys? Ok, since Saturday night, I’m loving My Kind of Perfect. I can’t get over the way he sang it. It was his best performance of it to date.

Ok, I’m looking forward to what you have to say, see you in the comments!

  1. USA, FL.

    12! LOL

Yes. I don’t know how successful I’ve been, but I’m definitely more conscious of being kinder, more patient…trying to be more David like, “Trying” being the operative word, lol

Eva Cassidy. I had not listened to her music before David spoke about her.

Los Pastores a Belen! And Zero Gravity. Did I mention Pastores a Belen?

    3. All of the above and then some ♥
    4. I’ve discovered tons of new music and artists through David. Or maybe rediscovered is a better word. There are some artists I knew of but never really cared for or paid attention to, but now I love them.
    5. I have a few main favorites: “Sweet Caroline” on Idol, “You Can”, “Melodies of Christmas”, “Parachutes And Airplanes” and “Everything And More”, among others.

        (Quote)

      • Well for example, I never paid attention to like John Mayer or Natasha Bedingfield until David mentioned them. He opened my eyes to so much more music since the beginning. I remember back in 2008 I’d listen to a lot of different radio stations other than just Radio Disney (I was 13 at the time). I’d always hear songs David covered or sang on Idol or just songs he talked about. :)

    Portland Oregon

2). On a scale of 1-10, how excited are you for Christmas tour? Even if you don’t live in the USA, are you looking forward to videos?
Since it has been well over a year since I have seen and heard David sing live…my excitement is off the charts.

3). Has David inspired you in some way? Have you found yourself to be more generous? Helpful to others? More charitable?
He has inspired my photography and inspired me to view obstacles in a better light. Also he helped to inspire me to be the one to create a fundraiser actualy two and realize how hard it is and how amazing it is too see it be successful.

4). Have you discovered new music through David? Has he brought a new artist to your attention? Is there a song from that artist you really like? Be detailed if you can.
Kina Grannis and Guy Sebastian. They have amazing voices and both care about their fans and have amazing personalities who are always thinking of others..I believe I am drawn to their character because of David.

5). Favorite David song? What have been your faves over time?
Be Still My Soul….I had never heard this song and when David performed it back in 2008 and again last year in Rexburg…I was blown away by how he brings you into the song and takes you on a journey. As far as a song he has written…Somebody Out There and WAIT :)

4- I got to know a bunch of other amazing artists. like bruno mars, adele, lady untebellum to name a few.
5- that’s a hard one,I’d say Falling Stars. eah that’s my favorite one. Christmas songs O Holly Night and What Child Is This . some others that I love are Desperate, Wait, Sensless, Everything & More, Nothing Else Better To Do, ALTNOY.

3). David has taught me to be more grateful for what I have & be reminded there
are people less fortunate than myself~puts things into perspective for me~kinder
more gentler is what I strive to be.
4). Adele – my favorite song from her album is “Someone Like You” & I long to
hear David cover it some day.
5). I think I’d have to pick “To Be With You” from his first album because, no
matter how many times I hear it, it brings tears to my eyes~so beautiful &
heartfelt. Barriers was another favorite right from the get-go! From his 2nd pop album…Falling Stars is my favorite & from his Christmas songs (while a cover)..Ave Maria takes my breath away. Hope to
hear/see him sing it again this year. :)

  7. 1). I live in Kansas, USA!

2). I’m at 10, and waiting anxiously to hear if I’ll be driving or flying to a Christmas concert.

3). David has inspired me in SO many ways. I guess I was always inclined to be charitable, but he reminds me often of its importance. More than that, he has inspired me to open my heart to people who don’t think or believe exactly as I do — to be kinder in general. This is an invaluable lesson.

4). There are so many! *checks ipod* I like Adele and Jason Mraz partly because I checked them out at David’s recommendation, but I may have found them anyway. I’m also a big fan of The Civil Wars now, too, and since I’ve not heard them on radio, I have mostly David to thank for that.

5). Favorite David song? Easier to answer “songs that somehow don’t top my list.” LOL. Somebody Out There has stood up over time for me. I really love Good Place from TOSOD, and Wait from the Asian edition. His Silent Night is always stunning.

  8. Wanted to add:
Also, I often listen to the two songs he did with Merrick Christensen before Idol (I believe). I love his voice with just the guitar.

    3. David has inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and try to do something I have always wanted to do but didn’t think I could, Write. Now I write a couple of blogs (one about David), have completed a novel I’m trying to get published, and even comment of fan sites and submit writings to them. Way out of this shy person’s comfort zone. Must follow my dreams now.

    4. I have found lots of new music through David. Any time he says listen to this artist, I do. I found Eva Cassidy, Benton Paul, Adele, and rediscovered many others. Basically, David brought music back into my life.

    5. I haven’t met a David song I don’t like but some of my favorites are Love Me Tender (from Idol), Touch My Hand, You Can, Melodies of Christmas, O Holy Night, My Kind of Perfect, and Things Are Gonna Get Better. And of course my favorite cover is Heaven.

    2. Scale of 1-10 for Christmas Tour? 100 !! Pleeese let there be a concert in my area! Videos FTW!

    3. David has inspired me to always try to look on the bright side of things, and I’m happier because of it. And even tho I’m not a real religious person, I feel a kind of spiritual connection… not to him, but through him. idk, that sounds corny but it’s true. <3

    4. David helpled me discover S A R A space B A R E I L L E S. She has a beautiful voice! But honestly, David has spoiled me with that Voice… I prefer to listen to him sing over anybody else.

    5. My favorite song has been Desperate! I'm not a lyrics person as much as a sound person, and Desperate sounds amazing. (don't get me wrong, I like the lyrics too) I love, love LOVE 98% of all Davids songs. My newest favs are Love Don't Hate and Notice Me.

Thanks for the fun game :)

    3. I am so impressed with how he treats others – so yes, I try to be kinder, say hello. Be positive! Love the video of him helping his mom up on stage at the gala. :)

    4. I do prefer to listen to David over anyone else…and once he has covered a song the original doesn’t compare…but I do like One Republic. (They definitely sounded better with David singing Apologize)

    5. My favorite song depends on the day – Love Don’t Hate, Everything and More, Sombody Out There, ALL Christmas songs! Can’t just say one…sorry!

    2. 10! I’m glad he’s doing well and touring again. Hopefully I can go this year since I never have yet.

    3. Oh man where has he not? haha. I can name a bunch of ways that David has inspired me in my life but the biggest ones were definitely being more optimistic and that you shouldn’t hide who you really are. He also helped me learn to step out of my comfort zone and be more charitable.

    4. The Civil Wars are pretty interesting but he’s helped me look at music a lot more differently. I only cared about the sound and took the lyrics for granted but he changed that for me. Now I’m trying to look for more meaningful music to listen to. Heh maybe David has some suggestions? lol

    5. I actually like almost all of them but my personal favorite is Who I Am from TOSOD because of the meaning and what it’s about. Everytime I listen to that song it makes me think about where I’ve been in my life and where I’m heading next. I also like Good Place, Something ‘Bout Love, Falling (this one makes me cry A LOT), his rendition of Smokey Mountain Memories from Idol, Desperate, You Can, pretty much all of them.

    4. I listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir a lot more now. ;) I’ve learned about more artists and songs. If I don’t know the ones he mentions, I look into them.

    5. I don’t have just one favorite David song–impossible. A few of my favorites are “Stand By Me,” “A Little Too Not Over You,” “To Be With You,” “Angels,” “The Other Side of Down,” “Things Are Gonna Get Better,” “O Holy Night,” and “Heaven.”

I’m become care to people more but I’m not really charitable cuz I don’t have much money and I don’t want to ask money to my parents but I try as can as possible to help others. 4) Jennette McCurdy and Pia Toscano with her song “This Time”, really amazing voice.
5)I love “Let’s Talk About Love”, it reminds me to my best buddy, “My Kind Of Perfect” and ” Little Too Not Over You” it’s kinda what I feel, “You Can” it’s in my mind, and ” Angels” always be my fave.

And he inspired me to become more concerned about other people, such as helping others in distress, and I feel when helping others makes us happy :)

I have donated gladly to many of David’s favorite charities but the other thing I find myself doing a lot is wanting to help others see him or hear his music. Know this isn’t unique. I have helped people get to shows and vips or to get a great seat, and I still find myself doing this. Just want others to have same experience. Also gift a lot of CDs and DVDs

Yoy Williams, John Paul White, The Civil Wars. BY far my fave but I also now love Sara B. just generally listen to music again when i had stopped.

No favorite song. Performances: Sweetest vocal performance The Cat and The Mouse Carol. Most amazing vocal Contigo ALMA, HYAMLC Baltimore, Gesu Bambino (any). Of the pop stuff, have to agree MKOP from AZ was something special. Too many to mention I guess. Angels Altar Bar. To Be With You Anaheim. Fields of Gold Ann Arbor. I give up. love them all.

      (Quote)

    • no fair replying to yourself I supposed, but that was Joy, not Yoy. Also, I should note that for me it is almost always the sound of his voice or the melody that attracts me, not the lyrics per se, and live, it is his connection to us in the audience, which as you all know is so real! But I am big on what he does with his voice. Love the new tricks in the first performance he did of GGTT, and looking forward to him focusing on the vocals. As he said he planned to do.

        (Quote)

      • 8therowcenter, you bring up an interesting point, one that I’ve had convos with others about…I agree, it’s the sound of David’s voice. For me, with songs that I like from other artists, I’ll hear the song and then ask, “who was that?” I think when David releases a song that the public responds to in the same way, he’ll be back at the top of the charts.

          (Quote)

    • Simply adore the way you know which version of a particular song you like! Now that’s a fan! Btw, I think what I’ve enjoyed most is getting people to concerts and helping them meet David. Working on Snarkies put me in a unique position to help others, more so than if I had tried to do that on my own. I hope I (we) can continue on with that here at AFS.

twice as an opening act … also my favorite is “Paris” (I knew there was something I liked about ya Janey ;) )
      5. Somebody Out There is and always will be my favorite David song …(ok David try to out do yourself) … the simple beautiful melody, the lyrics that hold special meaning to me,
and of course the way David sings it …. my farorite performance being the show in Utah 4/09. Ok – I am going to throw my 2 cents in here for CRUSH …. how can you be a David Archuleta fan and not love the song that was his smash hit …. it’s the first song I listen to every mornting when I get into my car and turn it on to the taunts of “how many times can you listen to that song?” I can’t hear this song without imaging in my head David with that grin listening to it’s debut at the radio station. Finally – The Other Side of Down …. because I put one foot front of the other … no no no nothing gonna break my stride …. self explainatory. ok – off to the day job :D

    5. It would be easier to name a song I didn’t like.(only one) I must give a shout out to Let Me Go from the first album since it is the most neglected and I love the beat and the Lows to highs. We never got to hear David sing this LIVE. some of the early songs that got me hooked in the first place: Waiting On The World To Change, Shop Around, Crazy, Heaven, Imagine, Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me.
Of course the thrill of Crush from the first radio listen. Favorite Spanish: Contigo Distancia, Los Pastores Favorite Christmas: singing with MoTab, and Ave Maria etc etc. Favorite new song: Wait
Like I said I love David’s voice and anything he sings. I love how he sings all Patriotic Songs. I love the emotion in his voice. Sometimes you can hear a cry, a depth of love, a depth of joy, a pleading, a hopefulness,an understanding etc. I love his ability to change up a song, hum, make lovely noises. I love love love the way he ends a song and finishes the very last note no matter how loud the screams and clapping. It is also so tender how he seemingly comes out of a trance on some songs and then smiles. I love the respectful bows and I best bow out for now.

Nice meeting all of you and thanks Janey for all you do for David and his fans.

    3. He has inspired me a lot. Before, I would donate a little to this and that, but he compels me to do more by showing us how a little could make a big difference and how it could really help someone. Also to be a better person and complain less xD
    4. Jason Mraz. Call me ignorant, but I didn’t know him before David mentioned him! Now I’m absolutely in love with his music! Also Adele, and the Civil Wars. I remember David had Natasha Bedingfield’s “Put You Arms Around Me” as a blog song of the day once. Love it!!
    5. Too many! STR, PandA, ALTNOY, Crush, LDH, etc. I love his covers of Los Pastores a Belen, EWTRTW, GGTT, Christmas and patriotic songs. I need to hear them live!!!

    3. David certainly has inspired me to help out more than I did before. As far as I remember I have been involved in most projects from AFAC and have been donating when David himself has asked his fans for help. And I LOVE helping out fellow fans that don’t have the possibility to buy David’s CD’s, DVD or book – It’s very rewarding spreading his music to the fans that love him ツ

If I had the time I would love to start a Danish Fansite for David! Nobody knows him here and what a loss that is!!!

    4. New music….Well don’t we all remember the wonderful & adorable interview he did with Alison Sudol ~ A Fine Frenzy ~ Never heard any of her songs before, but I have now ツ
I’ve never heard about The Civil Wars and Benton Paul before David and he has also introduced me to Kina Grannis and Sara B. and I’m sure there are a bunch more of great artists he has brought to our attention ツ

    5. Favorite song….It all began with IMAGINE for me….on Youtube! And what a musical journey David has taken me through since that day. i have a lot of favorite songs but to me it’s all about the VOICE which has a strong connection with my tear ducts ツ and it’s beyond my control LOL! is Especially his GCT album with the MOTAB Choir is doing it to me. His voice is so amazing, so outstanding and so strong that it kills me ツ His vocals are CRAZY!!!
But I’d love to mention some of my other favorite songs! Somebody Out There & To Be You I love because of their melodies and meaningful lyrics ♥ Zero Gravity lifted me off my feet – what a surprise on his first solo tour!! Oh… I must not forget My Hands – I LOVE that song – it’s the VOICE ♥ TOSOD is one of my favorites too – and I love to see how David let loose when singing the song at his shows – one foot front of the other….♥ My Kind Of Perfect is just ♥♥♥ I hope he soon finds her ツ And I could go on until I’ve mentioned all his songs!! But I’ll spare you! I just wanna mention a last song from his Asian edition of TOSOD – I really like all the new songs but Love Don’t Hate stands out to me – great melody and lyrics!
    That’s all…..and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us!
BTW – I hope to meet you all one day ♥ ツ

ZERO GRAVITY is my ringtone on my cell phone – and EVERYTIME I hear the song on my cd player (even in my car) I look for my phone – I’m so stupid sometimes LOL!!

My niece and I met David later on in the UK ♥♥♥

    3. David has inspired me by the way he treats people, his positive outlook, and his non-judgmental ways. I try to be more aware of how I treat others and I seem to be happier now that I am following his journey, sort of an escape for me from the daily grind. The fan sites keep me laughing; I am mostly a lurker as my free time is usually late at night west coast time and most fans are sleeping or already said what I would say.

    4. I am always amazed by David’s taste in music.

    5. I love anything David puts his mitas touch on. His smooth voice is what draws me in. I cannot pick favs but I do like his clever lyrics, they show how intelligent he is.

    3. David has inspired me spiritually by helping me look at my own relationship with God. He has inspired me musically, which means I don’t listen to music the same as I did before. He has inspired me to come out of my shell and to overcome my own shyness. And he has also inpired me to mirror all of his positive traits.
    4. I discovered Adelle through David.
    5. There are too many favorites to list. If David sings it, I love it!!!!! However, I will mention his studio version of When You Believe from AI gets to me everytime I listen to it.

1). We have a lot of international readers, where do you live? You can name the country or be more specific, it’s up to you!
    Malaysia

2). On a scale of 1-10, how excited are you for Christmas tour? Even if you don’t live in the USA, are you looking forward to videos?
9.99 and maaaaaaaaaaybe :P Perhaps I’m not too excited because I don’t celebrate Christmas and I have to listen/watch the videos secretly? BUT OF COURSE I AM EXCITED I’m probably the only one who gave less than 10.

3). Has David inspired you in some way? Have you found yourself to be more generous? Helpful to others? More charitable?

David Archuleta has inspired me in many ways. I believe I’m now:
    1) Nicer *than before*
    2) Less judgmental
    3) Willing to try new things
    4) with a new pair of eyeballs regarding God (1/4 thanks to David)
    5) Happier

Environment and the circle I’m in made it otherwise way back then before David *came* into my life haha.

David has also convinced that whatever I’ve been doing is OKAY as a teenager. Examples:
    - I’m the only one who’d bring my siblings out with me when I’m with my friends but David does the same!
    - It is worth the wait. I had people asking me/making bets that I’d have a boyfriend by the time I’m 13/15/16 and I just laugh along thinking it’s absolutely ridiculous. I’m 19 soon and am the only one who has never been in a relationship but you know…..guess who’s almost 21 and never had a girlfriend? But the difference now is he has the whole world full of girls waiting for him while me……..am seen as weird by people. It’s okay though.
    - Eating is cool. I’ve always been a fan of food but the girls around me hardly eat so it was kinda stressful for me to eat in front of them while they just munch on celery. I eat every other hour now haha.
    - “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one” is not nonsense.

4). Have you discovered new music through David? Has he brought a new artist to your attention? Is there a song from that artist you really like? Be detailed if you can.

    - I know the artists before David mentioned them, but if there’s anybody it’s Sara Bareilles. He’s right, she is clever. Reason I don’t have much to say about this because I have selective…..reasons to do something. I may like someone’s music but if I were to see that she wears too revealing clothes I can’t listen to the music the same way. Or if he swears too much I just can’t. I know some would feel that the music and what the person does is separate but I’m a personal person like that. For me to listen to your music and to truly enjoy it you must show it in yourself too. Hence why I stick to David. Why am I explaining about my music preference? Sorry for not answering the question……..

5). Favorite David song? What have been your faves over time?

    Favourites:
    - Stomping the Roses
    - Don’t Let Go
    - To Be With You
    - My Hands
    - Look Around
    - The Other Side of Down
    - Waiting for Yesterday
    - Love Don’t Hate
    - Good Place
    - Who I Am
    - Somebody Out There
    - Falling

Favourite David song….or a cover, at least:
    - When You Believe. He sang it so so so so powerfully. Felt like a baseball hit my ribcage when I heard it carefully.

    2. I was fortunate to see him twice his last Christmas tour, at Foxwoods, CT and Westbury, Long Island and was totally blown away both times. To say I am excited to see him again, there are no words and no numbers.

    3. He has taught me a smile and a positive outlook goes a long way. During the aftermath of Hurricane Irene, my neighborhood had no lights for days and all our food was spoiling. A few of us decided the neighbors should get together for a huge barbeque. It was a major undertaking but we made it happen Being together in a difficult situation made a huge difference. David taught me. “Nothing is going to happen unless you make it happen.”

    4. Eva Cassidy, Jill Scott, Adele the list goes on and on.

    5. Favorite song. Impossible, but I’ll try. I love the way he sang Fields of Gold from his last Christmas tour, To Be With You, Stomping on Roses, The Other Side of Down, Senseless all his covers and Christmas song.

  38. I am from the United States. On a scale from 1 to 10, I am on 7 in terms of being excited about David’s Christmas tour; if I knew he was coming to my area, I’d be at 10; I’m just not sure that he’s coming to south suburban Chicago, so I don’t want to get too excited. In case he doesn’t come to my area, I have his first Christmas CD, as well as the CD/DVD combo of Christmas songs with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. What a treat! It’s just not Christmas without David, but we can all enjoy him at Christmastime thanks to his Christmas CDs and DVD. David has inspired me to look at flaws and imperfections as assets rather than liabilities. I can’t say that I’ve listened to new music recommended by David because I don’t know of any music that he has recommended. I LOVE all of David’s music, but if I MUST choose one fave song, “My Hands” tops the list.

    5. Favorite David song… there are too many for me to even begin listing here… I can’t even list any that I don’t consider a favorite! There is some little thing that grabs me, in all his songs, even his less popular ones! :)

  42. Wow this has been fun to read Janey!

I live in the U.S., on the West coast.

    Infinity and beyond! lol

David, by simply being who he is, and his music/lyrics always serve to remind me to look at the bright side of things, to stay positive, to keep hope in my heart, no matter what. Besides donating to the various charities that are connected to David, there were also other charities that I always meant to give to but never did. I finally got around to supporting those too, and I have David to thank for that.

I am not so musically inclined (it’s a strange admission but it’s true; I’m mostly drawn to visual arts) but I have always noticed parallels between a musical performance and the act of drawing or painting, and often times it’s music that I hear that inspires me to do some art. Why am I saying all this? David’s artistry and his recommendations of artists and songs simply reinforce that for me. He has such good taste. Eva Cassidy wow what a voice! Sara Bareilles’ live performance of Gravity at the Fillmore (watched it on YT), chills! I so appreciate the honest sound of the Civil Wars. Recently listened to some songs by Daniel Bedingfield. Another amazing voice. And his sister Natasha! Good music (just like a good drawing for instance) is so much more than vocal prowess or technical perfection. It’s the other something that makes you feel all tingly inside! I love how he always shares and spreads what he loves.

Fave David songs: Works For Me. The Other Side of Down. Stomping the Roses. A Good Place. Who I Am. My Kind of Perfect. And really so many more but I particularly love the ones that I feel he is singing more directly about himself. Oh Zero Gravity! Gotta love that!

    5) Gah it’s so hard to choose one favourite song from David lol, but I love Somebody Out There so much. Works For Me, Don’t Let Go, The Other Side of Down, Elevator, Who I am, Things Are Gonna Get Better, My Kind of Perfect, all stand out to me.. I also love his Christmas music- Silent Night, The First Noel, Ave Maria, and the Glad Christmas Tidings songs! :) Oh, his covers too! There are many more songs I love. David’s music is so meaningful and awesome.

She is such a sweetheart. Gave me tickets to Morman Tabernacle Choir show and we went to SOF this summer also. Such fun. My first time to ever visit UT.

    3. Yes he has. I am a 72 yr old grandmother and I have never in my life ever been so inspired by anyone. He has just taken my heart and I don’t want him to give it back.. Such a wonderful young man with a heart of gold. I too have sponsered a young boy named “David” at RSO and hopefully been a kinder more giving person. Alway there to supporrt any Cancer research also.

    4. I always listen to the music David introduces us to and always agree with those he likes. I also think it is so neat how David introduces us to different people ,such as Marius. What an amazing boy he is and it is so nice to be able to offer a little help to him. Thanks David for who you are and all that you do. You bring out the best in us.

    5. Like most of the other folks it is very hard to pick a favorite because I love all of them. When You Say You Love Me, makes me cry everytime I hear it. Ava Maria, Silent Night, Cat and the Mouse Carol, Fields of Gold and my favorite new one is Wait. Can’t wait to hear him do that song live. There is only one that I don’t care for and that is Desperate. I just don’t think that is David at all. Just saying.

    3. Yes . David has made me more aware of the charities he’s involved in. When help is posted on the fan site I help. I buy his CD”s & DVDs. I do what I can.

I don’t what any to feel sorry for me. But I worked hard in the medical field for over 25 years. Life was good. My husband and I had a wonderful son. After college he married we have 2 wonderful grandchildren. But 1 day my life changed I am in a wheel chair. I live in a lot of pain. We always went to church. So I was asking God what have I ever done to deserve this, I am in my 50′s now.

It was so hard to stay in the house with nothing to do. I didn’t want to watch TV ,news, the ladies all dressed up and so happy and here I was as I described.

My life Changed when I met a 16 years old boy name David Archuleta. He sang Heaven on American Idol. As we all know he made it to runner up ( which I thought for sure he had won.).

I said all of that to say this. David has taught me over the last almost 4 years if a young boy not even 20 years old could have the faith & patiece he has and to take it one day at a time. Keep the faith. His song Things Are Going To Get Better, The Other Side Of Down. When I watch him sing and dance putting one foot in front of the other he truly means it. His smile would light up the dark.

I know that David has a God given talent. If he only knew what he has done for me. It was so worth him going on AI. I have got so involved with him. The first thing of a morning I get my coffee check the fan site and twitter to see the latest news, That’s what I do half a day If I had not seen David I am sure I would be depressed, crying. Who’s know what would have happen?

I am sorry that this has been so long. But I have read and feel like I know lot of you fans. I am Sheliabama on twitter. I would like to get to know more fans and be able to communicate more.

    4. I always liked country music. David is the only Pop artist I listen to.

4.David brought me back to the music world. When I was younger, music was always included in my life. It lifted me. Then in the later years the music was heavy rock and a lot of yelling and shouting. Then I saw David on AI. I recognized him as the young boy from Star Search. I loved him then and was so glad to hear and see him on AI. He grabbed my heart and soul from then on. I got a computer, learned how to use it, joined fan clubs and got to know so many artist that David admired.
    5. I love all of David,s songs. The Cat and The Mouse is my favorite right now.

I’d also like to add, that I’ve had some difficult times in these last couple of years especially this year. I met and spoke to David in Delaware at the basketball game and told him how his positive album TOSD had heped me recover. He stood up and put his arms around me and gave me such a beautiful hug. He is the best human being on this planet.

3). Has David inspired you in some way? Have you found yourself to be more generous? Helpful to others? More charitable?

4). Have you discovered new music through David? Has he brought a new artist to your attention? Is there a song from that artist you really like? Be detailed if you can.

2). 10! I actually jumped up from my seat when I saw the dates hahah. Of course, totally looking forward to the videos! Thank God for youtube! and for the generous archies who share their videos with us haha.

3). In so many ways. :) To appreciate my family and the people around me more. And to step out of my comfort zone to do the right thing at the right time.

4). SO. MANY. Actually, I think David made me open my eyes to all kinds of music, and really just made me love music more. He got me out of my only-indie-and-obscure-bands music phase haha. He introduced me to soul music, and like showed what like just a melody, a voice can do. So yeah. :) Just some artists I absolutely love that I got to know through him would be Eva Cassidy, Joy Williams, leading to the The Civil Wars;Tracy Chapman, Foster The People, just to name a few.

5). I love all of them so much, each for different reasons haha. Works For Me, Love Don’t Hate, Wait, Everything and More, Elevator, MKOP, Good Place, like Barriers, ALTNOY, YEDL, ZG. Are his covers considered David songs? lol if they are, favourites would be Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Stand By Me, Crazy, Heaven, Fields of Gold, Prayer of the Children, Apologize, I’ll Be… I’m trying really hard not to list almost every song on here haha but I’m sure you guys understand lol. and everything he sang on AI. hahah. oh oh oh Gotta Be! and Lean On Me. I’ll stop now haha.

    3) yeah!! He really changed me! He made my life more colorful. I also met new friends because of him and I become stronger in facing my problems. He really inspired me a lot. I’m now doing all the best that I can and I I’m trying to boost my self confidence now. I also become more helpful and generous to other people. I actually join our school’s Community Outreach Program to help those in need. I’m so happy with all the changes in me that is because of David. :D
    4) yes! It’s Adelle! I just came to know her because of David and I like her!! Her songs are just awesome and she has a unique voice. Reaching high notes are just a piece of cake for her. I love Adelle’s Someone Like You and Rolling In the Deep.. that’s it! hahaha.. :)
    5) Actually I love all of his songs! But I really love My Kind of Perfect because like David, I haven’t found My Kind of Perfect yet. I also love Things are Gonna get Better because it is so inspiring. Every time I have a problem, I always listen to that song and it just make me feel better. The Other Side of Down and Elevator also inspire me. Why it is so hard to choose!!! lol, hahaha, I feel like I wanna write all of his songs here, but anyway, I think that’s enough for now.. haha :D

have been a fan of David’s since American Idol
Favorite songs – Wait, My Kind of Perfect, Zero gravity, Forevermore, Touch My Hand, and anything in Spanish
I was reading the news for today (3-10-2012) was surprised to see an article and a poem about the San Antonio concert where David sang a little bit of ” Como la Flor” back on March 12, 2009. I want to thank the lady who called me brave. I’m the one who yelled out “sing in Spanish” I felt silly after that but very
grateful to David for doing it. I will never forget that night I hope someday to meet him after 2 years of course. I didn’t think anyone would remember that , thanks for bringing back that memory!!

    • Hi Debbie, thanks for commenting! WE REMEMBER! David started to sing a little bit of Como La Flor at all the remaining concerts after that. :D

    • Hi Debbie,
Of course I remember that day. It’s etched in my memory forever. That was the first time for my daughter and I to see David perform live, aka the most epic concert adventure ever. Hope you liked my poem. You were very brave to make that request and it was definitely the right location to do it too.
