Things To Do In Dallas This Weekend: July 8-10
If you’ve somehow missed a local sighting of the Larry O’Brien, I have the surefire chance you’ve been waiting for. Mark Cuban will be playing baseball for charity out in Frisco at the Reebok Celebrity Heroes game, and obviously, he’s bringing the trophy. And letting you take pictures with it (pretty sure it’ll be in a case, so, sorry. No grubby paws.) Mike Modano and Dez Bryant will cheat on their respective sports for this, and American Idol runner-up David Archuleta will sing “God Bless America” during the seventh-inning stretch.
The Reebok 2011 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game will feature famous faces from the sports world to Hollywood, at 6 p.m. at the Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco. Players confirmed include Bradie James, Mike Modano, Mark Cuban, Everson Walls, Donnie Nelson and other figures of the sports realm, plus Oscar nominee Michael Clarke Duncan, Geoff Stults, Dave Annable, Donald Faison. Former American Idol runner-up David Archuleta will sing God Bless America during the seventh-inning stretch. Tickets are $5 – $15 with proceeds benefiting the Heroes Foundation and the Mike Modano Foundation.
Be sure to check out the Reebok 2011 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game this Saturday at Dr Pepper Ballpark. The Larry O’Brien trophy will be there, as will many celebrities.
