Just getting home and catching up on all the news. Whew! What a day in Archuworld. I’m certain David made his decision carefully. We don’t have all the facts yet, but I have to say I’m not completely surprised. I think this was a good move on David’s part. He deserves the best management team: one that is both proactive and conducts itself with the highest level of professionalism. It will be exciting to see what the future holds.

i couldn’t believe it that david’s label dropped him and he parted way with WEG on one day, this all music related to music business,in my opinion, i think he is taking a break from music, i hope david tell us fans something what he is going on about this “very shocking” situation by david”s decisions.

Thank you for being the voice of reason here. You are so right, we shoud not jump to conclusions about what David might or might not be doing. The most mportant thing we as fans can do is support and trust in him. ‘Trust the Archuleta’ as the expression goes right?!! Anyway, I know that whatever David decides and wherever David goes …. I will be right here waitng for him!! I am grateful to him in so many ways and I want what is best for him….whatever that may be!!

I’m very confident that the decision was for the best. We all have to do what we think is best for ourselves. David obviously made a change he felt was needed, and I applaud him for doing just that.

I don’t know how i feel about this… i felt this was coming as it started to look to me like they wanted David to adapt to what’s going on in the music industry just like jive but David has decided to stick his beliefs.
So did David part ways with jive too??? if he did, i would be glad cos they have no idea what to do with their up and coming artists are they are busy sucking up to the major artists that bring them plenty of dough.
i hope the music industry who do not show mercy on artists like David who have refused to compromise their beliefs will not hold this against David, likening him to an unstable artist hopping around with no focus..it’s so easy for them to think and feel this way..
I WISH DAVID ALL THE BEST AND HOPE THAT SOMEDAY, HE WILL FIND HIS NICHE AND SOAR ON THE WINGS OF AN EAGLE… FLY!! DAVID FOR YOU A DESTINED TO STAND BEFORE KINGS AND NOT OBSCURE MEN!!!

Thanks FanScene and Doc for your calming post!!!! Yesterday was far from calm on twitter – my time line was about to explode!! David and Melinda’s tweets caused an UPROAR LOL!!
Like many of you I wasn’t surprised by David’s choice – the “pair” didn’t seem to fit like hand in glove to me – but then again I don’t know what went on behind the scene and nobody but the involved do!
It just break my heart to think about what he has been through to make this decision – it’s a tough business!! But every tough decision makes you a little stronger!!
I didn’t know that Jive dropped David – I’ve been looking around but can’t find anything to confirm that – but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s true since David – sadly enough – didn’t seem to be amongst their highest priorities! On the contrary!!!
Yesterday I was almost paralyzed for moment when all the tweets flew around on twitter – what does all this mean? Is David quitting music? Will there not be a tour? Will David go on a mission? Is it all over? Well I hope to get the answers to some of the questions – and I’m sure we will find out little by little – but we have to give David time and space!! He knows we are out here waiting – that’s for sure!!
The thought about David taking a break – maybe go on a mission – scared the wit out of me because how would I be able to NOT have him around like every day anymore? No new music for a couple of years! No tweets or vlogs! No videos or pictures with his wonderful smile – can I live without all this that David has spoiled us with for more than 3 years?
When I stop being selfish I can live with every decision David takes!! I don’t even know if he’s going to take a break or going on a mission but if that’s what his heart and God tell him to do then I’m only happy for him because he follows his heart and beliefs! I’ll still be here when he comes back!! In the meantime we have this place to meet when we miss him too much!!
BUT I’m sure David is going on “one foot front of the other……and keep fighting till he makes it to the other side of down” and what ever road that might be I’m sure he’ll reach his goal!! David is strong! He knows God is guiding him – he knows we are there to back him up what ever he decides to do! I hope he knows how loved he is!!!
I’m very grateful for all David has given so far – it’s far far beyond my expectations – and I hope he will continue making music the rest of his life because nobody does it like him – not even close!! So like David I’m very excited for what the future holds!! I wish him all the best and I believe in him!!

don’t worry Hanne, i read your post..
i guess we all need David to clear somethings up or put out a press release but that has never been his style.. i feel there is to disconnect with David and pop music these days..what the pop scene wants is so not David and me..i have since ditched the radio..
i wish David will switch genre’s as well while he is making these decisions..if he decides to go for his mission..i wish him well though i will hate it as i need David info’s all day and lack of it will be hard.

Sorry to post again. But I had a feeling when Melinda would tell us ( Davida’s) fans to tweet to other people for concerts or tours. I wondered why she was not doing that and why they were no concert already scheduled for 2011. But then when David said in was in LA and it was raining I thought something good was going to happen. I really don’t like it Melinda announcement this on tweeter. She should have waited and let David tell his fans and make an announcement and his plans.
But what ever happens maybe the Mormon concert in December open doors for David who know? I will be patient and give David his space. I will be with him every step he takes. God will be with you David. Good Luck You have the best voice.

David has 3-album contract with Jive and it will depend on both parties if there will be a renewal. If Melinda insinuated that Jive dropped David without any formal announcement from Jive and David, then I think Melinda is unprofessional and it is better that David not managed by her. As for Jive, they had decided not to support David the first time he stepped out from AI. If not for David’s fans, his album and single will not see the light of day. If that is true that Jive and David parted ways, I say to Jive, good riddance. If David decided to take a leave from the music industry, what can we do but support his decisions and I will surely miss him. But if he decides to make singing his career, well I think there are a lot of people who are willing to produce his music. Maybe these people are not presently in the music industry but are very rich and have a different take on how the business is done because they think out of the box. I will continue to pray for David. He will be okay.

I don’t know how I’m feeling today. Part of me is so worried about something bad will happen to David, but the other part of me believes that nothing bad will happen to David. With so many people love him and praying for him, I’m sure that God will guide him and let him have a successful career in music with or without Jive. I’ll pray day and night for him. I can’t imagine my life without listening to his music/voice.

lot of his fans are really sad with david because rumors are reporting that he is taking a break from music going on LDS mission, if that is really true then, i am happy for him to the LDS mission. i remember seeing pics of david at the motab events he did in utah, i never see him so happy!!. i don’t understand why david isn’t saying anything what is going on with him, maybe he is not ready to tell us fans, idk.
