David Archuleta Pushes Back ‘The Other Side of Down’
The album led by single ‘Something ‘Bout Love’ has been moved back from September 14 to October 5.David Archuleta has decided to change release date for his upcoming studio installment “The Other Side of Down”. Instead of releasing it on September 14 like the initial plan, the 19-year-old “Crush” singer delays it around three weeks. He is now going to drop it in United States on October 5.
“Like the last time we dealt with a date change, this one is definitely for the best,” his camp explained in a statement. “David would like to make sure he’s delivering the best possible album and he needs just a little more time to do it.”
David Archuleta previously moved back the digital release of the album’s lead single “Something ‘Bout Love” from July 13 to 20. His camp explained back then that he “wants to give his fans WAY more than just a single, and needed an extra week to do it.”
The song can now be downloaded on iTunes. The music video was filmed earlier this month with Declan Whitebloom as a director. The clip reportedly will have “young live and good times style concept,” but there hasn’t been any premiere date.

The rest of the “American Idol” world may be in turmoil, but at least young David Archuleta remains a constant source of cartoonish grins and non-drama.
The Season 7 runner-up took to YouTube in between writing songs for his upcoming album, “The Other Side of Down,” to update fans on the recording process and the general state of his ArchuLife.
So what of “The Other Side of Down?” Well, he’s working with producers Steve Diamond, Toby Gad and Lindy Robins. And the first music video, for “Something Bout Love,” which shot in downtown Los Angeles in mid-July, should be out soon, as he’s just seen — and enjoyed! — the final edit.
Archie also spills where you can see him next. Given his two Teen Choice nominations (for American Idol Album and Fanatic Fans), he’ll also be appearing as a presenter on the August 9 broadcast.

People Have Forgotten About Me”David Archuleta posted a new video blog today, where he talks about some of the songwriters he’s been working with for upcoming album The Other Side Of Down (Toby Gad, Lindy Robbins, Steve Diamond). He also seems a bit stressed when discussing the progress of his music video for “Something ‘Bout Love,” and later admits, “Sometimes you feel like, I think people have forgotten about me or something.” Aww, chin up, Archie—take a relaxing day or two off. In the meantime, we’ll watch your video blog after the jump.
“I’m just real excited for you guys to get to see the video,” Archuleta says. “Everything seems like it’s a challenge. Everything needs to be a little bit difficult and a little challenging before it can come together.”
David mentions that he’s up for two Teen Choice Awards in the clip—Most Fanatic Fans and Favorite American Idol Alum. You can brighten his day up by voting for him here. The awards ceremony will be broadcast on Fox on Monday, August 9.
Archuleta’s album The Other Side Of Down is scheduled to be released September 14. Better get those songs recorded though, Archie, if you want to keep that date.
