Well this goes into the category of strange but true and oh so fun!
If you have not figured it out by now ArchieFanDoc is a doctor and has a receptionist named Maria. Maria just looooves the Archuleta, I fact none the less that does not keep her from thinking her boss is totally nuts!
Well anyhow, this past Wednesday Maria had a nice little surprise – tickets to the AI9 Finale show!
She ended up in the “nose-bleed” section of the Nokia with her less than bemused husband – but the joke was on him, as he was left up there while Maria got a job as a “seat filler” for a former American Idol contestant who was busy back stage. This meant she was up front and she found herself sitting right behind David Archuleta! Maria was fascinated on how David was just so much smaller up close and personal than what he seems to be up on stage and on TV. Well we all say he is a giant when up on that stage performing. What a thrill that was for her while also being treated to long time favorites like the Bee Gees and Joe Cocker. She had another surprise that night when someone dear to her was able to approach David and ask for an autograph “for Maria, his greatest fan”. One problemo though: there was one David Archuleta, and one sharpie, and one anxious autograph seeker but no one had anything to write on. That is until David noticed on a pair of pants he was carrying (hmmm light blue pants) was a manila ID tag safety pinned to it with his name on it. “How about this, he said?” as he removed the tag from his pants ….”To Maria…. David Archuleta” And thus was born the saga of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pant Tag.
The next morning we were treated to Maria running around the office (how professional I was thinking) waving this thing in her hand saying look what I got, look what I got. Everyone was passing it around going ooohhhh, aaahhhhh. I said hmmmm, can I borrow that for just a bit 
So I went into my office, closed the door, and pinned that tag onto my coat! Yes, how mature, reasonable,respectable and highly professional of me, but hey! How many times can you say you got to wear a tag that was attached to a pair of pants that David Archuleta wore the night before? Two or three times maybe?
So here’s the deal though – AFD does not have a personalized autograph from David, but her receptionist does!
That is until she confiscates that tag and has her name legally changed to Maria
*** Maybe David sang a little Maria Maria by Carlos Santana — who wants a duet ??? !!! ***

What a sweet story – I love the way Maria got her autograph from David – he does everything to please his fans ♥ and Maria wasn’t disappointed either! If she laminate the tag, I guess she can wear it the rest of her life!!!
