Finally! American Idol acknowledges the existence of David Archuleta. It’s about time, considering how many times comparisons have been made of David to Aaron and other contestants this season.

I look at this as a positive for David. It gets his name out there again in front of 30+ million people. Just watch. Tomorrow morning it will be all over the news blogs. In fact, I’m already seeing some on the Google alerts. Not everyone follows David the way we do. This helps to jog people’s memories of David. It’s good publicity for him, especially now that his new single is about to be released. (I heard rumors of an April 6th date.)

Ozarko, I totally agree with you. This is great publicity for David on National television – this being seen and heard on by a huge number of people.
Not only was this a huge compliment to Aaron but at the same time it gave props to David because it implies his tremedous success as an artist and as a person.

Aaron is not bad and I think he wants to have his own identity. AI is a reality show, they made a rocker win last season 7. Now they may have the youngest American Idol for season 9. But then again may change their mind and give it to a girl for a change. AI cannot bring the star power of David Archuleta back and they are desperate. Please read this from Billboard. I’m not disputing the fact that Aaron can sing and that he has a good vocals. What i’m saying is that he sings nasally.Their is a difference between singing right and just singing… the kid sings nasally and thats bad singing……if he continues to sing this way he will strain his vocals and with age may very well have vocal nodules.

David doesn’t need to be jogged in my mind. He is forever burned there. Aaron is good but forgetable. The comparisons been getting on my last nerve, several nerves ago. Is Aaron not big Enough to be an Aaron Kelly? If they do plug David in the future. I hope its in a more direct and possitive way. They also need to pay David for name appearence. Though since being on, I’m sure he was under contract for them to be able to use his name and likeness. Yes I’m glad he was plugged but, lets do it right, he’s not that desporate. He is established.
