Both my husband have been saying the same thing this year…DAVID ARCHULETA WAS A STAR voice from the beginning and only got better. Still our favorite American Idol. We are so proud of David’s continued success. His voice still brings tears to my eyes…so adorable too.

Plus he sang my favorite song of Elvis Presley “LOVE ME TENDER”. NEVER did I ever think anyone can sing “LOVE ME TENDER” like Elvis or better than Elvis. I just about died and went to Heaven when I heard David singing it! I recorded it and played it over and over and over again!!
Like “IMAGINE” used to belong to John Lennon, “LOVE ME TENDER” used to belong to Elvis Presley – they are both David’s songs now!! china80(Quote)

China80 – Chills – oh yes indeedy. I’d like to hear David record a few Elvis covers. David’s voice has that velvety, smoky quality that I think a lot of Elvis’ songs were written for. Elvis and Bing Crosby both have a velvety, smoky quality to their voices although their phrasing and artistry is unique to them as David’s is to himself. David has got to be the most brave and at the same time most vulnerable singer I have ever seen or heard. What other 16-17-18-19 year old would even dare to sing with such passion and bare his sole to an audience, bringing us joy and tears at the same time? NONE! Sunday morning and catching up on my David "alerts"…tks for the memory lane…so many fan favs here. Funny too, just the other night I was trying to recall the Larry King segment, what David had said as he "left them hanging"…haha…glad to see it here..priceless.
He's so funny, just one-of-a-kind authentic to the core. Also, love the judges faces during Heaven…lol…Simon with his mouth froze open (always a rare & good sign), and Randy all soulfully engaged.
Season 7 was the best.
