Murray school made it work when American Idol storm came for Archuleta
MURRAY – Two years after David Archuleta rose from being just another high schooler to a national golden throated heart throb, Murray High still gets requests for him. Some fans call for Murray High posters, while others drive hundreds of miles just to see where David got his start. David was a junior at Murray High when thousands around the world fell in love with him. The school district sought advice from East High in Salt Lake in light of their experience with High School Musical. So Murray decided to start prepping before the Idol ride went into full swing.
In this two-part series, FOX 13′s Arikka Von will find out how a relatively small town and high school plans for millions of television viewers and big time production coverage.
