The Riddle? – I Found My Purpose in Life.
A Fan Scene Featured Article ~ AFD
From Wendy:
It might have taken 35 years but I truly believe I have found my purpose in life. What’s yours?

Today, when I woke up, I truly didnt feel like it would be the kind of day where I would look deep into myself but when you least expect it, things happen. It started out as a normal Sunday, getting 4 kids out the door by 9am to get to church with alot of complaining and whining! But man am I glad I made the effort to go today! Our pastor was talking about “what is our purpose in life?” And he said to ask yourself 3 questions:
1) What do you hope to accomplish during your life here on Earth?
2) What is important to you in your life?
3) What do you hope people will remember about you when you are gone?
These are 3 great questions to ask ourselves.

As we were leaving church, my mom turned to me and said “So, what is your purpose in life?”
And, without even having to think about it, I answered:
“CHARITY”
About a year ago, while recovering from surgery, I was online trying to find out where David would be in concert soon since I was hooked since American Idol, I came across Angels for A Cause where they were just announcing Dr. McGavins wonderful dental mission to India for Rising Star Outreach, and right away knew this is something I could help out with since I work for a dentist and the rest is history! Not a day goes by that I dont think about those children in India, the people of Honduras, and now the people of Haiti. I am always excited to see what charity David is going to focus on next! I truly feel the need to raise awareness and funds for these charities that David has introduced to us. Is it alot of work to help with Angels for a Cause? Yes, but its worth it since I see it make a difference. The day we reached our goal of $35,000 being raised for Rising Star was one of the happiest moments of my life. All that hard work really does pay off!! And the fans have been so truly generous!
As we all know, David’s purpose in life is very simple and he has found it at such a young age, to make a difference in the world and to touch many people of all ages through his music. He knows what is important in life and says it on a regular basis…his faith, family, and friends.
God has led me down this charity driven path and I will not let Him down. Provebs 19:21 reads “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” It might have taken me 35 years to figure this out but I will do charity work for many years to come. And i really hope my daughters will carry on this desire to give back through charity long after my time is up on Earth. They already have taken an interest in the charity work I do and they know all about the wonderful fans who have given so much through Angels for a Cause.
David knows his purpose,
I know my purpose,
Look deep inside yourself and you will find yours when you least expect it ![]()

Great post, thanks Wendy. Sorry for the late comment. Works been keeping from the computer.
I think most of us find our purpose as we get older and wiser. Life has a way of hitting us hard enough or enough times till we finally get it. I too have found my purpose after 49 years and I am so happy I have.
One way or another David and all his loving fans had something to do with it.
Thank you David and all your true and loving fans!!
