Diario TIEMPO fue el primer medio de Honduras en presentar a la estrella de origen hondureño David Archuleta al triunfar en los Estados Unidos. Dos años después el joven de madre hondureña, visitó por segunda vez el país y lo hizo para ofrecer su testimonio de éxito a jóvenes y conocer a familias que han salido adelante gracias a la organización internacional Mentors Honduras.

El joven, de 17 años, visitó familias en desarrollo de esta ciudad y dijo haber visto un gran crecimiento en ellos. “Creo que es grandioso lo que hace Mentors con las familias, veo que se han desarrollado mucho y han salido adelante gracias a su apoyo, además que estas personas son muy trabajadoras”, dijo el cantante ayer acompañado por su madre, Lupe Mayorga, nacida en San Pedro Sula y ejecutivos de Mentors Internacional.

Sobre su reencuentro con su “otra mitad de la sangre” como la llama, Archuleta expresó. “Es grandioso estar aquí, compartir con mi familia, con mi otra sangre, poder estar con mis parientes de Honduras, me han gustado las grandes montañas, la gente, los árboles, claro que me gustaría quedarme, pero tengo que regresar por la música, pero eso me hará regresar y de las baleadas, si me gustaron mucho están bien rica jajaja y los plátanos”, dijo.

El intérprete ofreció una entrevista para los medios nacionales en la Iglesia de los Santos de los Últimos Días en horas de la tarde, y su primera visita como estrella, David se mostró humilde y accesible ante la gente.

EXPERIENCIA DE VIDA
“Estuvimos también en Guatemala conociendo familias y realmente estoy sorprendido por su esfuerzo y perseverancia para salir adelante”, agregó. Para el cantante, el principal recuerdo que se llevará serán las experiencias.

“Me llevó todo lo maravilloso que viví, la gente que conocí, a ver visto a mi familia, compartir con ellos, estar con mi mamá, es una gran experiencia de vida”, manifestó. Por su parte, Lupe Mayorga, dijo sentirse orgullosa de su hijo.

“Nunca pensamos que llegaría lejos, gracias a Dios se dio, toda mi familia está contenta también y estoy feliz de poderlo acompañar, cuando me preguntó si quería venir, no dude en responderle”, comentó Lupe para Diario TIEMPO.

Sobre el desastre que vive Haití, David dijo que “hay mucha gente orando por ellos, que están extendiendo una mano para ayudarlos, estoy seguro que Dios los apoyará y lograrán reponerse, estamos viendo la forma de poder brindarles apoyo”, declaró.

Debido a su apretada agenda, David parte hoy a la Estados Unidos para iniciar la grabación de su tercer disco, que espera publicarlo a finales de año, así como terminar de escribir un libro en el cual narrará su camino a la fama.
