Angels for a Cause is hosting a Silent auction for Dr. Scott McGavin’s personal AFAC sky blue awareness bracelet autographed by David Archuleta!
This auction is to benefit Rising Star Outreach.
Dr McGavin wore this bracelet to India to serve a dental mission to help the children of Rising Star Outreach.
Dr McGavin has worn this bracelet for a several months. During this time he traveled to India to help the needy, and had many visits with David - including extracting David’s wisdom teeth.
David Archuleta took the time to autograph this special bracelet and it truly is a one of a kind!
David tweeted a couple of months back that he was having his wisdom teeth extracted and used twitpic to post a photo of himself having his teeth pulled. In this photograph you can see Dr. McGavin wearing the bracelet on his left wrist as he is working on David in the dental chair.

Although we know David had his wisdom teeth extracted recently, I have to point out that this picture is not of the oral surgery he underwent. He is actually getting a Composite/Resin filling done (white filling)! The metal clamp, or “cheek retractor” is used to keep his mouth open to facilitate access to the teeth the dentist is working on. The “gun” with the orange visor seen to the right of David, is a “curing blue light” used to cure the material (resin composite material) used to fill his teeth…it makes it harder (since it is not your old type silver filling!)…that kit you guys see over top of David’s head, is actually the kit with applicator for the various composite filling materials, and all the gamma of shades to match each patient’s teeth colors! Instruments his dentist is using in this picture are not surgical instruments (ie: forceps, elevators, scalpel, etc) These are instruments used to do restorative work (fillings)! Just wanted to note that (I am an oral surgeon and noticed this is not a pic of his surgery, guess needed to point that out!)
