Who is this? Why is there a photo of someone who is NOT David Archuleta?
David tweeted today that he was at a performance at a school in Harlem. This event was apparently taped and will air on Spanish network Univision on December 10th. Univision is a HUGE station with world wide viewership in the Hispanic world. 
Who is that guy up there? His name is “Pee Wee Salinas” – aka “Pee Wee Gonzalez” and Irvin Salinas Gonzalez. David tweeted that he got to hang out with this Pee Wee (not the other) 
Here is a little bio on him off of Yahoo :
Pee Wee is a Latin pop singer from the United States who embarked on a solo career in 2009 after rising to fame as a member of the Kumbia Kings. Born Irvin Salinas on December 8, 1988, in Othello, WA, he moved to southern Texas as an adolescent. In Texas he was recruited by Latin pop hitmaker A.B. Quintanilla III to join the Kumbia Kings, a cumbiapop collective with a rotating lineup and a track record of commercial success. Adopting the moniker Pee Wee (aka Pee Wee González) on account of his relative youth, he made his recording debut as a Kumbia King in 2004 with the hit single “Sabes a Chocolate,” ……. Pee Wee seems okay. He’s young and energetic. Hopefully he and Lupe gave David a few more salsa lessons. Ha ha!! Can’t wait to see and hear what the performance was. We’ll just have to wait with lots of patience till 12/10.

My son knows the the song by Laura Pausini from “En Nombre Del Amor” telenovela. I have to admit I really like the song and I also got hooked on the soap opera too. Well at least Spanish soaps have an ending!!

I’m so happy that David is finally going to be a part of a TV special on a Spanish network in the US but I really hope not to see David on “Sabado Gigante”; that show is getting worse and worse each Saturday. I wish to see him on TV specials related only to music. I can’t wait for David to record an album in Spanish!!! I’m sure he’s going to be HUGE in Latin American countries too.
Even though I’m “latina”, I don’t watch TV in Spanish; I don’t like telenovelas and I hardly listen to music in Spanish (I mostly listen to Reggae/Rock en Español); but whatever David decides to do for the latinos, I will support him %100!!! always!
