The much hoped for miracle happened today. We were able to treat every single child this week here at RSO! The dentists finished up with their last patients at around 3 p.m. today! Happy, happy day! That enabled them to go out to an amazing leprosy colony and pull some teeth on some wonderful people there. We pack our bags and head out tomorrow. It will be so hard to say goodbye to these children whom we have grown to love (which didn’t take long!). Our experiences here have been life-changing. For us AND for them.
I am so very happy for you and your team….and so thankful we could be a part of it. I was tearing up while reading your post, I could feel and imagine the experience you must have had. Bless all of you for giving of yourselves for such a worthy cause!

Like Sheryl – this brought me to tears. How wonderful that through the teams tireless efforts they were also able to extend their help further. Thanks to Dr. McGavin and his team. Thanks to David for bringing Rising Star Outreach to our attention. Thanks to Todd and Fan Scene for promoting this cause since last fall long before it caught much wider attention.
