First things first: a picture of the stage.
One of the things I really enjoyed about this show was the lighting on the stage. It changed a lot; many times there was just a spotlight on David.
OK, so if you read my text updates yesterday you know a bit about what happened. I wanted to make a few things clear about the VIP package.
#1) You do get a photo op, but the pics are taken by an iluvallaccess gal. Which means that she counts 1, 2, 3 and then takes the picture. Which bummed me out because that gives David time to put on that sorta fake smile he puts on sometimes. I wanted to make him crack up but I couldn’t – the gal waited until I stopped talking!
#2) The acoustic set we had was unique I think because they were delayed in getting to Hartford. I’m pretty sure that the rest of the acoustic sets will be held in the small, intimate rooms. You might not get the flaky, loopy, tired David that we got however : )
#3) Make sure you *take the ticket* at the parking garage, even if it’s free. Or else you might end up tracking down security at 1 in the morning to open the big gates for you.
#4) Getting face time with David is always worth it.
Stuff you get in your bag!
a sort of creepy poster……. and a keychain that I couldn’t get a picture of.
I don’t have much to add about the concert, since you’ve seen all of it. haha. I do want to tell you a little bit about the new guys, because I was lucky enough to spend some time with them. First up, Jerry Roe, the drummer. Super nice guy. 24 years old. 24! Mike K speaks *very* highly of him. He was a little quiet last night, mostly because they were sooooooo tired due to the long couple of days they had. He was wearing a really cool outfit. Light blue short-sleeved shirt with a few logos on it, like RC Cola, etc. Black skinny jeans, red argyle socks and *great* black sneakers. He said it was OK if I described what he was wearing – he’s into the aesthetic of the whole – how he fits with the drum set on stage, etc. He was interested in knowing how it all looked and felt from our point of view. Very wise, very hip, very cool guy. Also on the private side. Wish I got a picture but alas, I forgot.
Next up, Dave Filice. A fellow paesano. Well, he’s only half Italian. The other half is Irish. Yeah, he’s handsome. Just thought I’d get that out of the way. He also has *the best hair* – jet black and nice brown eyes. He was also wearing some cool clothes.
Dave is a really sweet guy. Has done some very cool things – says he loves being on the road, when every day is different. He loves to sleep on buses (!) We talked about Europe, we talked about how David’s music is not for tweens, we talked about how many fan sites David has. We talked about what I did for a living (!) - he actually asked me what I did for work! Did I mention he’s really sweet? These guys really seem to hit it off and are very talented besides.
OK and even though Mike isn’t new, I need to talk about Mike. Mike still smells great. Mike has a new (old) piercing. And Mike rocks like never before. He was also wearing some cool clothes – sorry I seem to be obsessing on the clothes but they all looked really hip! Mike was wearing PF Flyers. He is very happy with his new band members – and he still jumps like a mad man for Zero Gravity. He’s excited about this tour – we decided that even though the crowd was a “Demi crowd,” they showed a lot of love for David.
As well they should.

Thanks for the VIP info. Good to know!
Boo for fake smile David, but like you said, any face time w/ David is worth it. Can’t wait!

Did David sign autographs as part of the All Access Meet & Greet?

David isn’t allowed to sign anything at VIP. What they do is give you a raffle ticket, and draw them and if you win you either get to ask him a question or they give you something he signed. So you have 6 chances to win something because at mine at least they had 3 things he signed and 3 people to ask questions.
