The mentioning of regine velasquez’s name is not because DA really likes regine V. it was was upon the request of the concert producer and cacai velasquez that DA should mention regine V. and tell that she admires her but the truth is,o he doesn’t knw regine at al. part ng contrata na ipromote si Regine V. gusto daw kasi mapansin internationally. DA was jsut forced to mention the name of regine.

3. Why is Cacai & Jomari close to have that kind of an agreement??? Baka Jomari is using Regine, so her fans will buy tickets! DA is stupid to agree on such terms if he really doesn’t beleive in Regine.

6. ..well, if DA wants to admire the Asia’s Songbird, its fine.in the fist place she has the talent, the ability and all what it takes that to be admired to.though she has a dismal exposure to the internationla scene, it doesn’t make her less of a performer,she already proven her worth to be admired and loved by not only by filipinos ( here and abroad ) but also by other races as well ( not to mention her complements from mandy moore,blue,brian mcknight,coco lee, legrand and the like). it’s very funny to hear that she auditioned to simon cowell and clive davis, it is never broadcast here in our country and asias songbird not even denied the latter.to close, regardless that she has little exposure to the international music scene,SHE DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO PROVE!.she will always be the singer/performer that will always be loved and admired and the greatest singer that the philippines ever produced!

7. According the the Grammy Academy, Velasquez spends most of her time trying to copy other International Super stars, such as Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and especially Mariah Carey. It was her excessive work in doing covers of those mentioned singers that made her shot to stardom. Later down the years, it was clear which way she was heading with her works.

   Clive Davis comments, “Velasquez tends to enjoy screaming on her songs so she can be ‘leveled’ as high as Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, but the excessive plagiarism off Mariah Carey’s work is the one that made her famous around the world. She decided to get a butterfly tattoo knowing that Mariah has one. She sings more of Mariah’s songs more than hers”.

   Aretha Franklin says, “The non-stop screaming on her performance is what she tries to compensate the lack of emotion and range on her songs. Noted on ‘Emotion’ cover performance, she screamed louder than ever to make up the lack of whistle register that’s of Mariah’s”.

   Quoting the legendary Simon Cowell who says, “Would we ever know Regine if there’s no Mariah, Whitney, or Celine Dion? Would she be famous and has those awards if she has not tried all of her life copying what others have done and added a little twist so the fans can say its better? I’m sure it’s questionable”. This has been his statement regarding Velasquez’ popularity in the Philippines.
