Susan Boyle doesn’t have this season of Britain’s Got Talent wrapped up quite yet. Twelve-year-old singer Shaheen Jafargholi recently wowed the judges with his audition in Cardiff. Jafargholi started to sing “Valerie” by Amy Winehouse but Simon Cowell stopped the boy’s performance to tell him, “You got this really wrong.”
Cowell went on to ask Jafargholi, “What do you sing apart from that?
The schoolboy from Wales replied, “Who’s Loving You” by Michael Jackson.
Cowell said, “You want to give that a go?”
Jafargholi nodded his head and switched gears. The performance that followed earned the boy a standing ovation from the audience and praise from the judges – including Cowell.
An insider told the Daily Star: “Everyone is obsessed with Susan (Boyle), but this lad is great and Simon thinks he could be her rival. It’s not a one-horse race just yet.”
How does Shaheen’s performance of “Who’s Loving You” stand up to David Archuleta’s version at the same age? Tell us what you think!
