Jennifer Barry sent me a copy (and I am extremely appreciative) of her beautiful portrait of David Archuleta which has come to be known in the archu-mmunity as the famous “Bible Shot.” David was looking through a Bible for his favorite verse when the photo was taken. I believe the verse is a psalm of David from Psalm 101. (Please correct me if I’m mistaken, Jennifer.) The English Standard Version offers the translation, “I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will make music.”
Well, as you know, we Arch Angels are all about paying it forward, so I asked David to sign it for me when I saw him a few months ago in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, which he was happy to do. This photo is used in the banner for the website Angels for a Cause so my question to you, Angels, is: For what cause do you believe it should be auctioned off?
Now, I realize this one photo may not generate that much money, but it will do more good this way than hanging in a frame in my bedroom. There are a lot of great charities out there, many of which David has become involved with, but there must be others that are near and dear to the hearts of his fans as well. Right now AFAC is focusing on Rising Star Outreach and thanks to you guys, donations have been pouring in.
Please send your suggested charity to HIDDEN EMAIL . If I get some participation I’ll create a poll based on the most suggested and you all can vote on it here at Fan Scene. After a charity has been selected (and it very well could be RSO) we will auction off Jennifer’s photo at www.angelsforacause.org.
PS: For the sake of clarity: The winning bidder will be advised to make their donation directly to the selected charity. Neither AFS nor AFAC will collect the donation.

Have the donations really been pouring in? I created the RSO group on davidarchuleta.com. I wasn’t sure it was working. We have 108 members now, but I haven’t seen the number change on the Rising Star website.
