David ArchuletaMy friends and I arrived at 12 noon and the weather was extremely cold and rainy (for san antonio at least lol). We were like 15th or 20th in line. A worker of the venue told us we couldnt stay/get in line until 3 PM, so we just put something in our spot and stayed at the venue in our car. haha.

At around 2PM we saw a random green toyota go to where the tour-bus was, and a few minutes later we saw the car leave with more people, DAVID BEING ONE OF THEM! he was looking out the window and smiling!

At 3PM we got in line and waited. At 5PM a radio station came and let their winners of some contest go meet david. Unfortunately, when it came 7 o’clock (time to enter the venue) they let the contest winners enter at the same time as the people who waited 7-12HOURS! weh, haha. But, I managed 3rd row.

David was absolutely amazing. Very sincere and concerned about the people being smashed in the front. haha. A woman in the crowd asked him to sing in spanish, AND HE DID! haha it was awesome. After the concert ended and left, people chanted “david! david!” and he came back out and accompanied him self on piano and played “a thousand miles” and “angels”.

After the concert was over, my friends and I ran outside to try and meet him. His band members came out and we got pictures and autographs from them. They were extremely nice! It started raining, and got even colder and the manager of the bar/venue came out and told us david would not be coming out. No one believed it, so we stayed. Until, david’s father came out and told us, and the other people who were waiting, that he would not allow David to come out because it was too cold and rainy and he couldn’t risk David getting sick. :( But everyone understood, and departed
from the venue.

Overall it was an AMAZING show, David was having tons of fun! It was a pretty small place and a pretty intimate show :D Thank you so much for the heads up about the time!

Thanks, Yasmin! :)

  3. Thanks Yasmin for your story. Great photo by Michelle — who I believe was the “woman in front” who asked David to sing in spanish!
