Remember the MyFOX Utah auction to win dinner with David Archuleta in Sandy, Utah? Well, guess what! The winning bidder was none other than our friend Larissa Cheong from Singapore! Congratulations, Larissa!!!
Larissa won the auction with a final bid of $4,300. 00, which will greatly benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Valley. The Boys & Girls Clubs of South Valley serves the south end of the Salt Lake Valley in the cities of Murray, Midvale, Sandy, West Jordan, Taylorsville, and Kearns.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of America is a non-profit organization that gives the children of our nation a positive alternative to the streets. The Boys & Girls Club is a place – an actual neighborhood-based building – designed solely for youth programs and activities. I worked for the Boys and Girls Club for 10 years (in fact, it’s where I met David for the first time back in 2004!) as a social recreation director – and later as the county director for that program – so believe me, $4,300.00 will go a long way to do a lot of good for a lot of children! 
Larissa’s bid entitled her to two tickets to the dinner (which will take place some time between February 15th and February 18th,) but since she only needs one ticket for herself, she is hoping to share the other ticket with another fan by splitting the auction cost 50/50. There will be a total of 12 guests in addition to David and his family member(s) at the dinner which will be approximately 1.5 to 2 hours long. The cost is $2,150 for each person, excluding accommodations and transportation arrangements.

ArchieFanDoc – the distance is 8,700 miles, not quite 10,000 miles since I don’t have to fly across the continental US to get to SLC, unlike to the east coast for the idols tour.
Todd – the 2 pairs of tickets auctioned by fox utah went for $12,000 and $7,500 respectively, so those were certainly not my tickets because I didn’t pay that much LOL! Fox Utah has already removed the auction page so I can’t provide the link anymore. Everything’s cool though.
All the money raised is a blessing to the Boys and Girls Clubs and I’m very happy that David’s star power is being used for a great cause. Thanks so much for letting us know that the money will benefit many children!
