‘American Idol’ is back, as Season 8 premieres tonight! David Archuleta, Season 7 runner-up, told me in an interview last night he can’t wait to tune in!
Archuleta hinted that he might be interested in returning to the show as a mentor, because he knows just how the contestants feel. He also says Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks inspired him during his run on the show.
David as a mentor on AI…awesome! I’m sure it is going to happen.

MENTOR, PERFORMER, OR JUDGE. It doesn’t mater in which way shape or form he makes an appearance at American Idol, just as long as we get a chance to SEE him again. Can’t wait to see the look on Simon’s face if David gets to perform especially if he sing with Kara!!!
Hopefully they dedicate one night for David and one night for Cook, that would be the honorable thing to do for both!!
