Fan Scene has learned that David Archuleta auditioned musicians last Saturday, October 11th in his hometown of Salt Lake City. Twenty hopefuls from area colleges, music schools, and the local music scene showed up with their instruments, and dreams in tow. David’s been considering putting together a group of quality musicians from the area so he can stay closer to home for practices and rehearsals. Rumor has it there were several skilled musicians in the lot who are up for consideration. I wonder which of those lucky musicians will be getting a phone call from David Archuleta.
Editor’s note: We’ve also been able to confirm there will be a couple of songs on David’s debut CD which David co-wrote. Apparently there won’t be any duets on this album, but David has been collaborating with some very famous artists.
Fan Scene is also excited to learn that David Archuleta has become extremely interested in a charity that, as part of their mission, provides Dental Care to the children of adults living in leper colonies in India. We may be seeing David making a statement about this charity in one of his upcoming video blogs. Fan Scene would be honored to help spearhead the donation efforts, in conjunction with David’s other Fan Sites, if this interest comes to fruition. We hope to be able to provide you with further details soon!

Great NEWS.. I walked into “wet seal” a hip teen store and the song playing was CRUSH!!! the worker at the store said they were playing a company issued cd–that every store recieved. there is over 9 hours of music on this months cd and one of the songs is David Archuleta (they get a new cd every month) and it will be playing at all the Wet Seal stores over the stores sound system!!! I think we should write wet seal and thank them for including David on the cd?? but maybe you fanscene can check and maybe that “store cd” is really issued to a lot of stores?? rochelle(Quote)
